SIMPLE to use, brightly lit display, perfect size for jewelry and glasses, and great price. I appreciate the clear plastic top for viewing. Metal tank does not lift out to drain water, but a clever drain indentation in one corner lets you lift and tip the entire light weight unit to pour out the dirty water. I used 2 drops of liquid soap in regular tap water. I expected my rings to be cleaned — and they were spotless — and I was very pleasantly surprised that my sterling silver jewelry was also shiny bright. No more silver polishing cloth for me any more. I’m guessing it was a tarnished silver chain that turned the water so dirty. And I can put 2 sets of reading glasses side-by-side vertically which also came out sparkling. Loving it so far.
I never got one of these before because I didnt think it would make that much difference. Boy was I wrong. It sparked so much more using this then using hand washing with a jewelry cleaner alone. The price is also great. I did go ahead and get the jewelry cleaner too. I also used this with my glasses. Lots of smoke on those. It worked realy well for the nose piece.
This ultrasonic cleaner works really well. It is simple to use and doesn’t take up too much space. I use it mainly for cleaning my glasses and jewelry. I run it for 180 seconds and that’s what gives me the best results. I have not added a detergent to the tapwater yet as I didn’t want to have to worry about cleaning things twice, however with just half water get excellent results and very clean jewelry.
